The Spirit of Christmas in Coolum is a community shop where people with limited financial means can choose free gifts for their family at Christmas. Last year we opened our first Spirit of Christmas shop. It was a huge success! The Spirit of Christmas shop provided an outlet for the community to give gifts with joy and generosity to those amongst us in greater need. This project is supported by the combined churches of Coolum and generous community donations, to share the values of hope, peace, joy and love at Christmas.

We are now actively collecting brand new gift items, (no 2nd hand items) again. We were so encouraged by the amount of community support we have received last year and can’t wait to see how this year’s shop will go.

SUGGESTED ITEMS TO COLLECT

LADIES: Face washers, hand cream, Body lotion, Powder, perfume, Tea/Coffee cups, teapots, Jewellery, pump soaps, tea towels , crocheted hand towels , Journals, notebooks, pens

MEN: Aftershave, Thongs, T-Shirts, Football socks, fishing equip, sports equip, wallets, belts, Caps, Explorer socks, Boxers

CHILDREN: Stationery items (colouring pencils, books etc…), Lego, Balls, DVD’s (PG rated) Books, strollers, dolls, fishing rods & tackle, umbrellas, puzzle books, Hair accessories, swimming goggles, puzzles, sand toys

GENERAL: Beach towels, bath towels, beach bags, sunscreen, toiletries, photo frames, bike gear (helmets etc) Sports equipment (soccer balls, footballs, cricket sets)Nail polish, Doonas, sheet sets (All sizes) Crosswords / Word search books

We are also collecting any large and medium size gifts bags or any store bags ie: Myers etc
